Working with a Fabricator: On-Time Delivery

The biggest delays are not on the workshop floor — they are in the back-and-forth before the job starts.

The biggest delays in fabrication jobs aren't on the workshop floor. They happen before the job even starts — in the back-and-forth between client and fabricator. Here's how to make your next project go smoothly.

The biggest time-wasters

Vague drawings. A hand-drawn sketch without dimensions leads to phone calls, emails and confusion. Send a proper drawing (even a simple DXF or PDF) with clear dimensions, and you'll skip weeks of back-and-forth.

Unclear finish requirements. "Make it look good" isn't a specification. Do you want powder coat in a specific colour? Brushed stainless? Bare steel? Tell us the finish you want, and we'll quote it right the first time.

Last-minute design changes. Changing the design after we've cut the material means scrapping parts and starting over. It's expensive and it delays everything. If you need to change something, tell us before we start.

No deadline. A job without a deadline sits in the queue behind everything else. Tell us when you need it, and we'll schedule it accordingly.

How to work with us

Send us your drawing, your quantity, your material and your finish requirement, along with your required delivery date. We'll review the drawing, flag any issues, and quote you back with a price and lead time. If we have suggestions for cost-saving or design improvements, we'll tell you. Once you confirm, we schedule the job and deliver on the date we agreed.

That's the process. No surprises, no hidden extras, no chasing. We say what we'll do, and we do what we say.
