MIG and TIG welding

Welding is where cut and bent parts become assemblies. Our welders are experienced across MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) processes, working with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. We weld handrails, balustrades, frames, brackets, structural joints and custom fabrications — and we dress and finish welds where the job demands a clean appearance.

A good weld isn't just about holding pieces together. It's about the right process for the material, the right preparation, and the right finish. MIG is fast and strong for steel production work. TIG is precise and clean for stainless and aluminium, where appearance matters. We choose the process based on your material, your finish requirement, and the application.

Welding processes we run

MIG Welding

Fast, strong welding for mild steel frames, brackets, bases and structural components.

TIG Welding

Precise, clean welds for stainless steel and aluminium, where appearance matters.

Stainless Welding

304 and 316 stainless, TIG-welded, pickled or brushed for architectural finish.

Aluminium Welding

TIG aluminium welding for frames, panels, enclosures and marine-grade components.

What we weld

  • Handrails and balustrades: Stainless and steel handrails, balustrade posts, rails and infill panels.
  • Frames and structures: Steel frames, support brackets, base plates, stair components and platform structures.
  • Custom fabrications: One-off assemblies, prototype weldments, and production batches.
  • Repairs and modifications: Weld repairs to existing steelwork, modifications to equipment frames.

Welding process

We prepare joints properly — clean, fit-up, and correctly aligned before we strike an arc. We control heat input to avoid distortion on thin materials. We dress welds smooth where the part will be visible, and leave them functional where it's a hidden joint. And we inspect every weld before it leaves the workshop, because a cracked or porous weld is a failure waiting to happen.

For stainless work, we take care to avoid contamination — dedicated tools, clean work surfaces, and proper shielding gas. That's the difference between a stainless weld that stays bright and one that rusts at the joint six months later.

Welding quality

  • Strength: A properly welded joint is as strong as the material itself. A poor weld fails under load.
  • Appearance: Architectural and commercial jobs need clean, dressed welds that disappear into the finish.
  • Durability: Stainless and aluminium welds that aren't done right corrode at the joint. We do them right.
  • Safety: Structural welds on frames, platforms and stairs carry loads. We don't cut corners.

Weld inspection: every weld is visually checked before it leaves the workshop. Porosity, cracks, undercut, incomplete fusion — all flagged. If a weld isn't right, we grind it out and redo it.

Weld dressing and finishing

Where the weld will be visible, we dress it smooth — grind, blend, and finish to match the surrounding surface. For stainless, we blend the weld into the brushed or satin finish so it's barely visible. For hidden or functional welds, we leave them as-welded to save cost. You tell us what finish you need, and we deliver it.
